Events that we run...
Since the inception of the Town Team, we have run the Winter Fair every year, created a new Folk Festival for the town, organised a bonfire and fireworks for Q90 (HM The Queen’s 90th Birthday), run two French Markets a year in partnership with France At Home, run commemorative events for the 1914-1918 centenary which enabled donations to veterans charities, and also supported many other organisations in running their events and raising money for their causes.
Our Objectives
The Town Team incorporated as a Community Interest Company on 19th November 2013 – born out of the need for a properly constituted organisation which could organise events for the town (and do more things too!), which would ensure the safety of those attending and those organising the events.
Volunteering...
We are always looking for new volunteers to help us deliver events and we also really welcome new ideas. There is no joining fee and you can join as an individual or an organisation. See below for the ways you can get involved.
